WHEN I first met Shiva at a kebab restaurant in Haifa, Israel, I was
unsure whether my irreverent jokes that noon were creating a positive impression on this new acquaintance from
Canada. Years later (and endless hours together in choir and on social committees), I am sure of two things
that make Shiva such a standout: an impressive responsiveness to calls of duty and friendship, and an infectious
giggly laughter on perennial “Ready to Play” mode!
