| Music performed by INSPIRIT!
Fourteen men and women ranging in age from 19 to 60 comprise this performing arts group, with origins ranging from Finland, Great Britain, Canada, and the United States, to Namibia, South Africa,
and Bolivia. The group changes as with everything else at the Bahá'í World Centre because of staff departures and arrivals.
Inspirit! was formed in the summer of 2001, to support the teaching work in, and the community of, a Baltic country by taking a musical performance there in the summer of 2002.
It was recommended that the group concentrate its efforts on Lithuania. Throughout the winter months, while the musical was being created and rehearsed, communication with the small but hard-working Lithuanian
community and support from the International Teaching Centre brought about the eventual realization of this goal.
"Divine Springtime", the musical created by the two artistic directors of INSPIRIT! with input from other members, was based on `Abdu´l- Bahá's answer to question
no. 14 in Some Answered Questions, which compares the cycle of religious revelation to the four seasons. It was staged at the Bahá'í World Centre on 25 May 2002, and was subsequently
video-recorded for distribution to the World Centre staff at cost.
From 5-19 July 2002, the members of Inspirit! took their "Divine Springtime" and their arts training institute to Lithuania, where they gave free public performances for
the people of Vilnius. They also performed, in the city's park, a smaller-scale musical based on the Seven Valleys and created by the group as part of their arts training institute in the country.
Inspirit! is currently considering plans for future projects.
