Blessed the man who hath sought enlightenment from the Daystar of My Word. Blessed he who hath attired his head with the diadem of My love. Blessed is he who hath heard of My grief and hath arisen to aid Me among My people.

Music performed by INSIGHT

In August 2001, a small group of friends sharing the same passion for music started getting together to jam. What came out of those sessions is the band called Insight, with the goal of teaching the Faith and bringing joy to themselves and others through original music.

With David Gappy (from the Seychelles) on bass, David McKinney (Costa Rica) on lead guitar, Krisia Haynes (Bermuda) on electric violin, and John Hicks (the United States), Saman Sliney (Kenya), and Andre Ross (South Africa) on lead vocals, the band has written and performed eleven songs in Spanish and English, including Hidden Words set to music, songs based on themes from the Writings, and an instrumental piece.

The spark of love for His Cause has been evident in Insight's performances at the World Centre, notably at various "Arts Cafe" and "Open Mic" events sponsored by the Youth Activities Committee. They also sang on stage at the launch and closing programs of The Extra Year of Service (EYOS) campaign of the Youth Activities Committee.

Insight has collaborated at various times, for performance or recording, with other talented guest musicians at the Bahá'í World Centre, including vocalist Lisa Silvers, drummers Gustaff Besungu, Julio Jordan, Frederic Buah and Isaac Anorpong, and cellist Christina Heaphy.

Insight's debut CD is currently in production. The band also plans to travel for teaching in the summer of 2003.
